Death Note Plot Story In English

In Tokyo, A Frustrated High School Student Named Light Yagami Finds Death Note, A Mysterious Black Notebook That Can Kill Anyone If The User Knows The Target’s Name And Face. Initially Frightened By His Divine Power, Light Considers The Possibilities Of Death Note’s Abilities And Kills Notorious Japanese Criminals Before Targeting International Criminals.

Five Days After The Discovery Of Light’s Notebook, Ryuk, A Shinigami, And The Previous Owner Of Death Note Visit Him. Ryuk, Invisible To Anyone Who Has Not Touched The Notebook, Reveals That He Dropped The Notebook Into The Human World Out Of Boredom, And Is Amused By Light’s Actions.

As Criminals Around The World Die From Unexplained Accidents And Heart Attacks, The Global Media Speculate That A Single Mastermind Is Responsible For The Mysterious Murders, And They Call Him “Kira.” Hoping To Apprehend Kira, Interpol Seeks Help From A Mysterious Consultant Detective Known As L. To Assist In Their Investigation.

Concluding That Kira Is Based In Japan, L Tricks Light Into Revealing That He Is In The Kanto Region Of Japan By Manipulating Him To Kill The Bait. Enraged, Light Vows To Kill L, Who He Believes Is Interfering With His Plans.

L Concludes That Kira Is Aware Of The Japanese Police Investigation By Light’s Father, Soichiro Yagami. Suspecting That “Kira” May Have Family Ties With The Participants In The “Kira” Investigation, L. Appoints A Group Of Fbi Agents To Monitor The Families Of Those Associated With The Investigation, And L. Learns Enough To Designate Light As The Prime Suspect.

It Was Around This Time That Light Moved From High School To College. L Hires Light To Join Kira’s Task Force, And Each Tries To Get The Other To Reveal Important Information.

Model-actress Misa Amane, After Receiving The Second Death Note From A Shinigami Named Rem, Makes A Deal With Rem For The Shinigami’s Eyes, Which Only Allow Her To Kill With Her Face, At The Cost Of Half Her Life. Seeking To Make Light Her Boyfriend, Misa Reveals Light’s Identity As The Original Kira, But Light Has A Different Motive: He Intends To Use Misa’s Shinigami Eyes To Find Out L.l.’s Real Name.

L Deduces That Misa Is Probably The Second Kira And Is Holding Her Back. Rem Threatens To Kill Light If He Doesn’t Find A Way To Save Misa. Light Organizes A Scheme In Which He And Misa Temporarily Lose Their Memories Of The Death Note, And Rem Hands The Death Note To A Less Motivated Person, Kyosuke Higuchi Of The Yotsuba Group.

With Memories Of The Death Note Erased, Light Joins The Investigation And, Together With L, Finds Out Higuchi’s Identity And Arrests Him. Light Regains His Memories And Uses Death Note To Kill Higuchi, Taking The Book For Himself. After Restoring Misa’s Memories, Light Orders Her To Start Killing Like Kira, Causing L To Cast Suspicion On Misa.

As Light Hints That The Investigation Will Lead To The Capture And Execution Of Misa, Rem Realizes That Light’s Plan From The Beginning Was For Her To Sacrifice Herself In Order To Kill L, As The Shinigami Cannot Kill Others To Prevent A Person From Dying. After Rem Kills L, She Disintegrates, And Light Receives Her Death Note. The Task Force Does Not Announce The Death Of L And Agrees To Let Light Work As The New L. Since Light Works As L And Kira, The Investigation Ends, But The Crime Rate Continues To Decline As He Is No Longer In Danger Of Being Caught.

Four Years Later, Cults Arose That Adore Kira. Two Young Men, Raised As Potential Successors To L, Are Revealed: Nia And Mello. Knowing That L Is Dead, They Consider Light, The Current L, To Be The Prime Suspect. Mello, With The Help Of The Mafia, Kidnaps Light’s Sister, As A Result Of Which His Father Died During A Rescue Operation. When Suspicion Falls On Misa Again, Light Hands Misa’s Death Note To Kira’s Ardent Supporter, Teru Mikami. He Also Appoints Announcer Kiyomi Takada As Kira’s Public Spokesman. Realizing That Takada Is Related To Kira, Mello Kidnaps Her.

Takada Kills Mello, But Light Kills Him. Near Learns Of Mikami’s Relationship With Kira And Arranges A Meeting Between Light And The Current Members Of Kira’s Task Force. Light Tries To Get Mikami To Kill Near, As Well As All Members Of The Task Force, But Mikami’s Death Note Does Not Work And Is Replaced By Decoy.

Looking Through The Names Recorded By Mikami, Only The Light Is Missing, Which Proves That Light Is Kira. Light Is Badly Wounded In The Battle And Begs Ryuk To Write Down The Names Of Everyone Present. Instead, Ryuk Writes Light’s Name In His Suicide Note, As Light Proclaims Himself The God Of The New World Before Dying.

Three Years Later, Near, Now Acting As The New L, Receives Word Of The Arrival Of The New Kira. Hearing That The New Kira Is Randomly Killing People, Near Comes To The Conclusion That The New Kira Is Attracting Attention, And Calls The New Kira “boring” And Not Worthy Of Attention.

A Shinigami Named Midora Approaches Ryuku And Gives Him An Apple From The Human Realm In A Bet To See If A Random Person Can Become The New Kira, But Midora Loses The Bet When The Person Writes His Name In The Death Note After Hearing Near’s Words. Announcement. Ryuk Tells Midoru That No Human Can Surpass Light As The New Kira.
